Dear Aviation Enthusiasts!
Due to the behaviour of some of our colleagues it has become less easier to practice our hobby at Maastricht Aachen Airport.
As a result of recent incidents between spotters / aviation enthusiasts and the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee (KMAR) we would like to ask your attention for the following guidelines given by the Airport Authorities and the KMAR!
FIRST OF ALL WE ADVICE THAT THE KMAR WILL MONITOR ALL BELOW LOCATIONS AND TAKE APPROPRIATE ACTION WHERE NECESSARY!
GATE 13 (Former Radar)
It is not allowed to stop or park with any vehicle on the access road to Gate 13, there is a clear prohibitation to stop or park and the KMAR will also act upon.
It is also not allowed to enter the farmer fields adjacent to this access road as these are private property.
It is not allowed to park on the grounds of the fuel station.
The owner of the fuel station will place signs as soon as possible to stop the illegal parking.
ACCESS ROAD TO PARKING P2
Parking on or next to the access road to Parking P2 is not allowed.
FENCES AROUND THE AIRPORT
Damaging or destroying fencing around the airport is an offence.
It is absolutely forbidden to wrench the barbwire above the fences, because it destroys the functionality and safety for which the fences are intended.
It does not need to be pointed out that the KMAR will take appropriate action when this is observed.
PARKING AROUND THE AIRPORT AND COMPANIES
We do not need to point out to stop or park where a traffic sign with prohibition is placed.
Please follow up all directions of traffic signs around the airport.
Also note that it is not allowed to park on parking areas which belong to companies located at the airport! These are private property.
We thank you for your coorperation!

Both, as you will note the yellow blocks next to the access road to P2 already have been repositioned so that no room is left to park. It is expected that beginning next week the traffic signs at the fuel station will be placed.
Regarding the fences nothing else than commen sence is necessary to understand that this should not be done!
Furthermore traffic signs around the airport already provide clear directions of where not to park or stop.
The above is just a clear reminder of regulations but most of all normal behaviour we all have to follow up on.
